Kyle Rising is the sound of a restless soul chasing something real. Blending vintage rock, Americana and a little bit of chaos, he writes songs for the dreamers, outcasts and road warriors.

It started on the East Coast with a guitar and a bad case of wrong-decade syndrome. A year of college was enough. He left for the Outer Banks, played whatever room would have him, and met a producer on a beach who heard something worth chasing. In 2016 he founded Sensi Trails and spent the next few years learning the road the only way it can be learned — in a van, one town at a time.

California was next, because the sound he was hearing in his head lived out here. Then a single take of a Doors song, filmed in a room with no plan behind it, found eleven million people almost overnight. They kept typing the same name in the comments. He took the compliment and kept writing his own songs anyway.

Since then it’s been a steady run of singles — “She Freaks Me Out,” “Honeydew,” “Scarlet Sentiment,” “Waiting,” “Side Stepper,” “Clouds,” “Well, Well, Well…,” “Quarters” — and stages shared with the people who built this music in the first place, from Robby Krieger of The Doors to Guns N’ Roses. There’s a full-length taking shape in Los Angeles. Loud, warm, unhurried, and in no hurry to turn the reverb down.

Rooted in the past, but always looking forward — this is not just music, it’s a way of life.
